Brian Douglas Schifler, 60, of Sugar Grove, IL, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Presence Mercy Center surrounded by close family. He was born September 13, 1957 in Joliet, IL, the son of Joann Schifler and the late Carl R. Schifler.

He is survived by his loving, long time wife, Mabel Schifler; his daughters, Katrina and Natasha; his wife's daughter, Mabby; his granddaughters, Briana and Leila; his mother, Joann Schifler; his sisters and their spouses, Denice, Doreen, Juanita, Barbara, Cindy, Janice, Jody and many nephews and nieces.

After working for 30 years for the same company, many years as General manager, he and Mabel opened their own business 2 years ago. Brian enjoyed working hard, liked long conversations, good jokes, food, drinks and helping people. Brian used to say, "That's why we're here, to help others."

Brian was a hard worker and respected man who will be missed greatly.

A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday 2-5 p.m. August 4, 2018 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Interment will be private.

Schif I was thinking about you today. I was hot tired and wanted to take a break, but I could not show it in front of my son. I thought this is a total Brian schifler move. How many times did you work your self way past the limit just to show up the 20 year old punks. I think it was a lot. You were respected and will be missed.

I am so saddened for the passing of Brian. What a great co-worker and friend. He will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to all family members during this dreadful time.
