Tribute & Message From The Family
Lori S. Tyzenhaus, age 57, of Oswego, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 22, 2018 after a six-plus year battle with synovial sarcoma. Lori was the daughter of Robert H. Locke and Elsie J. Locke (Kissel) of Aurora, and was born on September 9, 1961.
A true warrior in her fight with cancer, Lori won this battle and beat cancer by never letting it destroy her spirit, her joyful nature, or her love of life.
Lori retired from Walmart after 30 years of service having last held the position of Walmart Academy Training Coordinator. She had also previously worked a second part time job as office cashier for Ron Westphal Chevrolet.
An extremely kind and selfless person, Lori put others before herself. She was vibrant and always smiling. Lori's amazing smile paired with her outgoing and friendly personality would light up a room bringing out the best in everybody that her life touched. Lori truly loved life and the joy & happiness that she derived from her family and her many friendships. She was a people person who loved to socialize and laugh. Lori would regularly go out of her way to help others or to simply strike up a conversation with a friend or a stranger that she sensed was in need.
Lori brought a true sense of joy, happiness and comfort to all of those in her life. She loved being out in the sunshine and soaking up all of the happiness that the world offered. Lori would be among the first to arrive and the last to leave any gathering because she never wanted the related happiness from celebrating with friends and family to end. Lori did not fear death, but it greatly saddened her because she would miss everyone so deeply.
Lori loved to travel, and she especially loved frequenting the beaches of Florida's Gulf Coast.
She also loved babies, children, dogs, and dancing. Lori was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Lori is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Andy Tyzenhaus; her beloved children, Kyle and Hannah Werner; her adoring mother, Elsie J. Locke; her dear brothers, Joseph (Hallie) Locke and James (Jill) Locke; and her caring sister, Lisa (Scott) Felker. Also surviving Lori are her many wonderful nephews, cousins, additional family members, and granddaughter.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. Locke, and her sister, Judith Ann Locke, in infancy.
A celebration of Lori's life will begin on Thursday, September 27, 2018 with a Visitation at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Services will take place on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 1233 Douglas Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538 commencing at 11:00am.
Condolence & Memory Journal
I did not know Lori real well and hadn't seen her lately, but was acquainted with her through a friend and was at several social gatherings together. She was always so smiley and happy, even through all her hardships. I will always remember her outgoing and bubbly personality. RIP Lori. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

My family and I are thinking of you and your family. Lori was a very caring & kind women with a big heart! I've known Lori since I was little and my mom worked with her at Wal-Mart. We were even neighbors in Sheridan and Oswego. Although I wasn't close with her we'd often chat about the Chicago Blackhawks and Patrick Sharp! ;) I followed along in her cancer journey and periodically talked with her about it as my dad is battling cancer as well. Lori you were a true fighter who never gave up and still remained positive through out your battle! I know you're pain and suffering is finally over, you will be greatly missed. God Bless you and your family. -Nicci Carrington (Schultz) and family.
