Tribute & Message From The Family


Joan S. Fleming, 92, longtime resident of Montgomery, passed away on December 3, 2018 at Bickford Cottage of Oswego. She was born February 18, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late James and Nellie May (Neale) Vernon.

Joan was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church. She was employed at Stoner Mfg. and Commonwealth Edison.

Survivors include her brother, Ronald Vernon and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Marshall A. Fleming; her brother, Robert James Vernon and her step-daughter, Martha Fleming.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9 A.M. until the service hour of 10 A.M. at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
