Tribute & Message From The Family
Robert H. "Bob" Walter, 79, from Montgomery, Illinois passed away on April 4, 2019. Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who brought joy to everyone he met. He retired from Peer Bearing Company based in Waukegan, Illinois. Bob was able to travel as the Vice President of Sales and always brought back a piece of the world home to share with all. After retiring, Bob filled his mornings with walks by the Fox River with his friends, golfing on sunny days, seeking out treasures at local auctions and firing up the grill for a family barbeque. Fishing with the boys always brought back tales of the world's biggest fish, still yet to be confirmed. His favorite way to end the week was with a long ride, top down, in his Thunderbird with his beautiful wife Sandy of 58 years.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandra and brother Francis (Lavonna); two sons, Mike (Margaret) and Mark (Karen); two daughters, Dawn Girls (Scot) and Dana Limong (Ken) as well as nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a chosen neighborhood son, Paul Shavers.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn and Edward Walter; his in-laws, Marguerite and Earl Albright; his brother, Eddy Walter and his brothers in-law, Robert Albright (Rose) and Richard Albright (June).
Visitation will take place from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the funeral home followed by interment at Lincoln Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Bob's memory.

Although it has been many years, Bob still remains in my thoughts over the years. I was so glad to have had him as a boss. I learned so much from him. My prayers go out to his family. His leadership and time allotted to all of his people was so appreciated. Thank you Bob, for all that you have done for many.

Sandy, you were truly blessed. You could see how much he cared about you. I'm so happy I got to know you! Mark, Dana you guys were so lucky to have a dad like him. ( all of you) Hugs and prayers for all of you. Mark, you were there for grandma. I wish I could be there for you!
