Tribute & Message From The Family


Ronald G. Stiegleiter, 70, of Sandwich, formerly of Montgomery, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009 at his home. He was born July 6, 1939 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of George and Clara (Kerber) Stiegleiter.

Ron graduated from West Aurora High School class of 1958. He retired as a Foreman from Fox Metro Water Reclamation District after 32 years of service. Ron attended Harvest Chapel in Sandwich. His hobbies included boating, steam trains and working on his many projects.

Family members include his wife, Patti of Sandwich; a daughter, Connie (Greg) Pflipsen of Mead, CO; sons, Rick of Montgomery and Roger of Sandwich; his father, George of Montgomery; a brother, Dennis of Oswego; a sister, Sherry (Duane) McKirgan of Aurora; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Olsen of Westminster, CO; grandchildren, Jennifer Olsen, Zachary Johnson, Braden and Nick Pflipsen all of Colorado; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Ralph) Luchtenburg of Yorkville and Sue (Jeff) Koehler of Carol Stream and many other relatives.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Clara and a son, Greg.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11 A.M. at Harvest Chapel, 725 S. County Line Rd., Sandwich, IL with Pastor Barry Caudle officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 3-8 P.M. at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL. Interment will be private at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.

A special thank you to Dr. Jennifer Crane and Dr. Mohammed Raheem and Seasons Hospice for all you have done for our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 143 First St., Batavia, IL 60510.

I'm sorry to hear Mr. Stiegleiter passed away. He was such a sweet man! He certainly loved his family and kitties. I'm sure he is in a better place now.
