Jack R. Meyers "Jackson", 63, of Aurora, a longtime resident of Aurora, died suddenly Thursday, February 8, 2018. Jack was born January 6, 1955 in Waukegan, IL, the son of Eleanor (Cooper) and Donald Meyers. He graduated from West Aurora High School in 1973 and then attended Waubonsee Community College obtaining an Associates degree in Criminal Justice.

Jack began his police career at Waubonsee Community College as a cadet and later became a Kane County Deputy Sheriff Officer. After his retirement from Kane County, Jack continued to work part time as an officer at Maple Park, Campton Hills and finally Fox Valley Park District where he continued part time until the time of his death. He spent 42 years in the field of Law Enforcement.

Jack married Deborah Morrissette on August 7, 1976 at Wesley Methodist Church and they continued to live in Aurora and raise their family. Jack loved spending time with family and friends. He was usually the life of the party and had an infectious laugh. Jack also loved to visit Wisconsin as his family had a cabin in the Northwoods. He loved boating on the Illinois River and various lakes around the area and traveling south to Florida to get away from the cold weather.

Survivors include his wife Deborah, a son, Andrew (Katie) Meyers and his daughter Jennifer Meyers; two brothers, Robert "The Rock" (Sharen) Meyers, Steven (Dinah) Meyers; a sister Karen (Jim) Mayer; a sister in law Phyllis Tolian; four nephews, Kevin (Jennifer) Meyers, Jake Mayer, Daniel Meyers, Chris (Brittany) Tolian Morrissette ; two nieces, Cathie (Brent) VanHooser, Beth (Mike) Meyer as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Monday, February, 12, 2018 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Gove, IL. Jack's funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park.
