Joyce E. Famera, 61, of Yorkville, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at home. She was born on August 10, 1948 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Tom and Rita (Ferguson) Moran.

She retired from Farmer's Insurance in Aurora after 30 years. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending "loads" of time watching her grandchildren. Joyce was a good cook; enjoyed going to garage sales and shopping, especially chasing a good bargain.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry Famera; children, Traci (Timothy) Zywicki, Rita Famera-Gengler and Patrick (Brienne) Famera; grandchildren, Maureen, Timmy, Samuel and Adam Zywicki, twins Zoe and Caitie Famera; siblings, Rita Rebhan, Sally (John) Gasparich, Dan (Barbara) Moran, Tom (Kathy) Moran and Mike Moran.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Thomas Famera; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Jerry Famera and sister-in-law, Julie McGrath.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 2 PM - 8 PM at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Prayers will begin at 9 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the chapel followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 406 Walnut, Yorkville, IL 60560. Burial will take place at River Hills Memorial Park., Batavia.

Joyce was the shoulder that everyone went for comfort and was very proud of her Irish heritage. WE LOVE YOU AND WE MISS YOU VERY MUCH.
