Lyle C. Hett, 91, of Montgomery, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009. He was born February 27, 1918 in Butternut, WI.

Lyle was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran having served in Europe. He retired as an Engineer from Burlington Northern Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Marianne (Smith) Hett; sons: Barry (Vicki) Hett, John (Bev) Hett and David (MaryEllen) Hett; Marianne's children, Laura (Allen) Kavendar, Stephen (Jessica) Smith and David (Jill) Smith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez; his parents, George and Louise Hett; his brother, William; his sister, Betty and a granddaughter, Amy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 6 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora with Pastor Alka Lyall presiding. Visitation will be from 3-6 PM prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Bethany of Fox Valley United Methodist Church, 2200 Ridge Ave., Aurora, IL 60504.
