It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Terry L. Minson, 69, of Sugar Grove, IL who passed away July 30, 2020. He was born September 16, 1950 in Peoria, IL as the son of the late Andrew and Margaret (Norvelle) Minson. Terry was the loving husband of Linda (Bromm) Minson and the father of two children, T.J. Minson, and Shannon (Brian) Jacobs and was a grandfather to his grandson Matthew Jacobs, 2 1/2, and granddaughter Audrey Jacobs, 5 months. They brought so much happiness and joy to his life.

Terry spent the majority of his life in Illinois. He was raised in central and southern Illinois but spent the majority of his life in the suburbs of Chicago.

Terry was one of 11 children, Brothers, Tim Minson, Ed Minson; Sisters, Paula (Wayne) Hadley, Valerie (Laurie) Minson; Brother-in-laws, Tom (Patti) Bromm, Steve Bromm, Terry (Jackie) Bromm, Mark (Teresa) Bromm, Sister-in-law, Debbie (Steve) Grunst as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Terry is a veteran who served in the United States Army from 1972-1975. After his service to our country, he worked for Shakeproof and Chicago Sand and Gravel located in Elgin and then he earned his CDL where he worked for Welch Brothers. After retiring, he needed to get out of the house so he decided to work part time for Chrysler as a parts delivery driver.

Terry loved sports, nascar, fishing (especially on his boat), gambling, or as he loved to say, going to the boat in reference to riverboat gambling, his buddy Joey (dog), and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. Terry was a kind man with a carefree attitude and a sweet soul. He will be missed tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his Father (Andrew), Mother (Margaret), Brothers, Allan, Dennis, Larry, and Sisters, Carol, Debbie and Pam.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 4:00 p.m. August 8, 2020 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
