Thomas L. Walker, 89, born January 25,1929, to William and Kathleen (Conley), and husband of Joyce Dunley (Diehl) died peacefully in his home on July 5, 2018.

Tom was born in Aurora, was a graduate of Marmion Academy and studied pre-engineering at St. Procopius College. In 1950 he was inducted into the Army and served during the end of the German occupation. Upon discharge, he attended St. Mary's College in Minnesota and then transferred to the Univ. of San Francisco to obtain a degree in mathematics. From 1955 to 1999, he worked for Defense Contractors in Santa Monica, CA, Virginia Beach, VA, Silver Spring, MD and Dalgreen, VA.

In 1954, he married Sherrill Jagodinsky of Manitowoc, WI and from this union they were blessed with three children, Colleen Hart, Mark and Peter; three grandchildren, Sarah (Michael) Hart Romano, Christa Hart and Nathaniel Hart; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Hart and Cierra Lester; a great-great granddaughter, Scarlett Hart; sister-in-law Joanne Walker as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also blessed with his step-children, Jane (Dan) Emanuele, Judie (Michael) Wilson, Jim Dunley, Joe (Pam) Dunley, Joan (Jim) Hunger, Jill (Mike) Perez and their families.

Along with his parents and first wife, Sherrill, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Jerry.

Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and step-father, and for his kind and gentle spirit.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 4 PM – 7 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506 with a wake service at 4 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, corner of Lancaster and Hardin Aves, Aurora, IL 60506. Burial will take place in Maryland at a later date.
