Virgil Kahle, 90, of Aurora went to be with the Lord on Sunday January 6, 2019. He was born December 9, 1928.

Virg graduated from West Aurora High School in the class of 1947, attended Aurora College with an interest in drafting and architecture. He married Doris E. Lumbert on October 6, 1951 at First Presbyterian Church in Aurora. He enlisted in the National Guard and served in Germany during the Korean War.
He became a general contractor building and remodeling hundreds of homes in Aurora and throughout the Fox Valley area. A master of the craft, he was taught by his father, when he started working at the age of 9.

Virg was a life-time member of First Presbyterian Church. Growing up in Sunday School, playing softball on the church team and later becoming the manager of the team. An avid bowler, he bowled most of his adult life on the First Pres. Team. He served as a deacon and elder over many years in the church, loved the Lord and lead his family in faith.

Virg and Doris were married 67 years and were blessed with three children and later many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family, friends and faith were the joy of their life.

Virgil is survived by his loving children, Cynthia (Bryce C.) Staker, Stan (Jeri) Kahle and Brad (Karen) Kahle; grandchildren, Bryce J. (Barb) Staker, Bryan (Sara) Staker, Brandon (Christina) Staker, Bradley Staker, Elizabeth (Ken) Nance, Matthew (Nicole) Kahle, James Kahle, Renee Kahle, Andrew (Hayley) Kahle and Karolina Kahle; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kirsten, Cordelia, Adelaide, Brayden, Emmalie, William, Meredith, Lauren, Chase and Leanne;

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Kahle on November 8, 2018, his brother, Warren and his sister-in-law, Betty Kahle as well as many friends and family who were eagerly awaiting him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4 PM – 7 PM at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church, 325 E. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60505 with a visitation 30 minutes prior to services. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
