William M. "Bill" Silmser, 67, of Aurora, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. He was born on January 30, 1942 in Massena, NY, the son of the late Alden and Ruth Silmser.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis (Bohy) Silmser; children, Sarah (Joe) Sarasin and Andrew (Lisa) Silmser; grandchildren, Emilee, Joseph, Mackenzie, Megan and Laura; sister, Ruth Anne (William) Houle; sisters-in-law, Marilyn(Roger) Parolini and Barbara Whittemore; brother-in-law, David (Becky) Bohy.

Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Delbert, Jack, David Silmser and Judy Menard of Massena, NY.

Bill was a longtime member of Aurora Advent Christian Church; 42 year teacher at McCleery Elementary School; graduate of Aurora College (University) and master bean baker.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 3 PM until time of memorial service 5 PM at Aurora Advent Christian Church, 905 N. Edgelawn Ave., Aurora, IL 60506. Burial will be private at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia.

Memorials contributions may be made to the church.
